The first 31 years of Sister Frances religious life were spent as a homemaker and dietitian at various convents in Wisconsin and Iowa, including periods of time at Aquinas High School, St. Rose Convent and Villa St. Joseph in La Crosse. By August, 1955, Sister Dorothy was beginning her high school at St. Rose Convent in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She was very social and loved visiting with people. He never refused and the family would drive out to a shady, cool spot in the country. At that time, Sister Joanne was living at Rockwood Lane retirement facility where she volunteered as a Bible study facilitator and home visitor. She made her first profession of vows on August 12, 1961. She began her ministry of teaching in elementary schools in Edgar and Boyd, Wisconsin and Spencer, Iowa, before moving into high school.

Sister Patricia was received into the novitiate in 1963 and given the name, Sister Mary Owen. From 1963 to 1968, Sister Bernadette ministered as superintendent of Catholic schools on the island of Guam, returning there at the request of the Bishop in 1971 for another five years. She was in the seventy-fourth year of her religious profession. She didnt let her physical infirmities bring her spirits down. For 25 years Sister Pat taught music in elementary and secondary schools in Iowa (Carroll, West Point, Bellevue) and Wisconsin (La Crosse, Prairie du Chien, Durand, Jefferson, Ashland, Jefferson). Her mission life there shaped her concept of community and service. After attending the Creation Spirituality Program in Oakland, California, Sister Donna served on the retreat staff at Holy Cross Center in Merrill, Wisconsin. After she initially applied to the Maryknoll Sisters, she subsequently met Mother Joan Kramer, FSPA, on a visit to St. Rose Convent to see her sister, Sister Jean (Carmelita), FSPA. She taught for 33 years in elementary schools in Iowa, Washington, Oregon and Wisconsin. Born in New York City, Sr. Cecelia was one of six children, four brothers and a sister. She loved spending time in the Adoration Chapel while at St. Rose Convent and often filled her retirement days making craft items for the gift shops at St. Rose and Villa St. Joseph. After her class of six boys and six girls graduated from the eighth grade, she spent the next year at home helping her parents. She later went back to her baptismal name. In 1989, with the close of FSPA regions, Sister Evelyn was called to serve as assistant treasurer for the FSPA congregation in La Crosse.
