(g)The Board encourages curriculum experimentation designed to replicate or validate educational theories or to promote open-ended career development. 658). (1)An LPN shall communicate with a licensed professional nurse and the patients health care team members to seek guidance when: (i)The patients care needs exceed the licensed practical nursing scope of practice. It shall be the duty of each licensee seeking waiver to notify the Board in writing and request the waiver, at least 60 days prior to the end of the biennial renewal period, which will be granted, denied, or granted in part. (iv)For purposes of licensure renewal, the training must have been completed during the relevant biennial renewal period. (e)The Board may require that a nursing education program on provisional approval status prepare and submit additional reports and will notify the program, in writing, of the reports required. 6383(b)(2). (ii)The scope of the prescriptive authority in the other jurisdiction is equivalent to prescriptive authority in this Commonwealth. (1)Failure to complete a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education in a biennial period in accordance with subsection (a) will subject the registered nurse to discipline under section 13(b) of the act (63 P.S. Diploma programs shall assume responsibility for formulating their own policies and submitting them for Board approval. A professional nurse who does not hold at least one graduate degree in nursing, but who has experience in nursing practice, nursing education and administration may be considered on an individual basis. (e)In addition to the fees prescribed in subsection (a), which are payable directly to the Board, a candidate for the practical nurse licensing examination shall also pay a fee to the National Council of the State Boards of Nursing (www.ncsbn.org) to cover costs associated with the preparation and administration of the practical nurse licensing examination. An applicant for licensure by examination shall comply with the requirements of 21.23 (relating to application for examination), pass the examination and complete at least 3 hours of approved training in child abuse recognition and reporting in accordance with 21.508(a) (relating to child abuse recognition and reportingmandatory training requirement). (d)Upon approval of a continuing education activity under subsection (b), the Board will determine the number of continuing education hours awarded for the activity. (b)To obtain prescriptive authority approval, a CRNP shall: (1)Successfully complete at least 45 hours of course work specific to advanced pharmacology in accordance with the following: (i)The course work in advanced pharmacology may be either part of the CRNP education program or, if completed outside of the CRNP education program, an additional course or courses taken from an educational program or programs approved by the Board. 6383(b)(2). (d)Reinstatement of lapsed license or reactivation of inactive license. This section cited in 49 Pa. Code 21.149 (relating to temporary practice permits); 49 Pa. (d)The Board may place restrictions on a nursing education program on provisional approval status as deemed necessary by the Board to bring the program into compliance with this subchapter and will notify the program, in writing, of the restrictions. (G)Indecent assault as defined in 18 Pa.C.S. (2)Sufficient number and size of accessible classrooms, conference rooms and laboratories to meet the needs of the program, as follows: (i)Such facilities shall be attractive, with effective lighting, adequate heating and ventilation.
